How do we do this?
We aim to build, equip and mobilise a new generation of young people that are empowered with the confidence to care for themselves, each other and those around them. We are specifically targeting those most at risk of poor health including those coming out of the care system; young carers; young people not in employment, education or training; and those exposed to street violence. Our aim is to equip them with lifesaving skills and the confidence to use them when it really matters.
Young Responders is a contemporary programme designed to tackle contemporary problems, reaching further than St John’s traditional physical first aid advice and branching out into mental health and other relevant issues for young people, such as assault.
