The St John Ambulance Falls and Telecare Response Service works to prevent falls and unnecessary admission to hospital.

Falls within the home can cause both serious injuries and profound psychological distress, which can have a debilitating impact on people’s quality of life. By reducing the wait time of these patients, St John Ambulance will be providing enormous peace of mind and making vulnerable communities feel safer. 

Using the latest equipment, our team delivers clinical and holistic care in treating and preventing further falls. The service also supports people—primarily the elderly—to stay in their homes and maintain their independence for as long as it is safe to do so. 

We provide this service in London and Wolverhampton, where we work with technology enabling equipment providers and operations centres to provide our care. We also provide a Community First Responder Falls Response as part of our work with London Ambulance Service, which is entirely volunteer run.
